Andrew Moloney
The Monster
Bio
Andrew Moloney is one of the most respected operators in world boxing's lower weights — a relentless, deeply skilled Australian who has finally landed the world title his career has long deserved. The Monster is 29-4 with 18 knockouts, and every loss on that ledger came against elite opposition in fights that could have gone either way.
Moloney, twin brother of fellow world-level fighter Jason, fights behind a sharp jab, smart feet and a punishing body attack. He is not the biggest puncher at 115lbs, but he is one of the busiest and most disciplined — the kind of fighter who wins the rounds nobody notices and is still going strong when the other man fades.
His story is one of persistence. Heartbreaking near-misses and razor-thin decisions had threatened to define him, but Moloney never stopped chasing the belt, and on June 6, 2026 at the Aichi Sky Expo in Japan he finally got over the line, edging Willibaldo Garcia on a majority decision to become IBF super flyweight champion.
Now the 35-year-old has the boxing world in his sights. Moments after winning the title he called out pound-for-pound star Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez and asked for the undisputed fight. Whether or not that happens, Andrew Moloney has earned his place at the very top of a brilliant division.
