Callum Walsh
King Callum
Bio
Cork-born Callum Walsh is one of the most carefully built prospects in modern boxing. Trained in Los Angeles by Freddie Roach at the Wild Card gym, the 25-year-old southpaw is unbeaten at 16-0 with 11 knockouts and has been the centrepiece of Dana White's Zuffa Boxing project since the promotion's first Las Vegas card. He's marketed as the Irish-American crossover star — a Cork accent, a Hollywood gym, a UFC promoter, and a fight-by-fight build that has prioritised exposure over risk.
Stylistically, Walsh is a left-handed pressure fighter with quick hands, a sharp left cross, and the kind of finishing instinct that makes him dangerous in the middle rounds. His best win to date came in January 2026 at Zuffa's Las Vegas debut, where he comfortably out-pointed former world title challenger Carlos Ocampo over ten rounds. That fight was the first time Walsh had been past round eight, and he handled the distance well.
His next fight, on August 8 at the Zuffa Dublin card, is the biggest of his career — a homecoming headliner in front of an Irish crowd, broadcast on Sky Sports across the UK and Ireland, with an opponent yet to be named. The pressure will be on. Walsh is no longer the protected prospect — he's the headliner, and the boxing public wants to see whether he can step up against a top-15 154-pounder. It's the right test at the right time, and his career hangs on whether he passes it.
