Bio

Chris Billam-Smith is one of the most decorated British fighters of the last decade and a genuine cruiserweight world champion. The Gentleman is 21-2 with 13 knockouts, and he has done it the hard way — collecting British, Commonwealth and European honours before climbing to the very top of the division in 2023. Every belt he owns, he has earned brick by brick.

Billam-Smith fights with a high work rate, a tremendous engine, and an underrated nasty streak when he senses a finish. He is not the flashiest operator in the world, but he is relentless, durable, and tactically sharp. When he gets into a rhythm and starts piling up the rounds, he is a horrible night's work for anyone at the weight.

There is no fighter more beloved on the south coast. Bournemouth is his manor — he has boxed there eight times, including three sold-out nights at the Bournemouth International Centre, and the bond between the Gentleman and his home crowd is the real deal. There is nothing in boxing quite like a fighter going to work in front of his own people.

On June 6 he headlines Zuffa Boxing's first ever UK card at home against Canadian banger Ryan Rozicki, live on Sky Sports. Billam-Smith has made no secret of his ambition: he wants to be known as the best cruiserweight in the world, with a Jai Opetaia showdown the dream on the horizon. Get past Rozicki and the biggest nights of his career are still to come.
