Biography
Lindolfo 'Toro' Delgado is a 2016 Mexican Olympian from Linares, Nuevo Leon who has quietly built a 24-0 record under the Golden Boy umbrella since turning professional in 2017. A proper technical boxer with an A-grade jab, Delgado is tall for 140 and uses the reach to set up a hard straight right.
Delgado's breakout year was 2024, when he stopped Elvis Rodriguez in seven to establish himself as a live top-five name at 140. His run through 2025 — decision over Hugo Roldan, stoppage of Bryan Flores, and a top-ten ranking in all four bodies — put him on the IBF's mandatory list.
On April 21, 2026, the IBF formally ordered Delgado into a vacant title fight with Teofimo Lopez. It will be by some distance the biggest night of his career. A proper old-school Mexican pressure fighter with above-average boxing IQ, Delgado is the kind of fighter fans love by round six and promoters are nervous of by round twelve.
