Adam Azim
The Assassin
Bio
Adam Azim is the best British boxing prospect of his generation and a likely 2027 world champion at 140 pounds. Fourteen wins, no defeats, eleven stoppages. The Slough kid is twenty four, trains under Shane McGuigan, and has been on the proper accelerated path since he turned pro.
The British title was won at 13-0 against Ohara Davies in a stoppage fight that announced him. The European belt was added against Enock Poulsen the same year. Last time out he stopped Kurt Scoby in the final round on a Sky Sports pay-per-view, a fight he was losing on at least one card before the dramatic finish. He fights Steve Claggett at the OVO Arena Wembley on May 30 2026, live on BBC Two — the free-to-air return that has been a long time coming.
Style wise he is a speed merchant with proper power in both hands and footwork that does not look like a young man's footwork. Shane McGuigan has him sharp, calm and disciplined. The 140 division has Devin Haney circling at the top, Arnold Barboza Jr in the IBF mandatory queue and Regis Prograis back in the mix. Azim is right in the conversation.
