Alem Begic is the Bosnian super middleweight who built an 18-0 record on the European circuit before earning the WBO vacant title shot against Hamzah Sheeraz at the Pyramids of Giza on May 23 2026. Two rounds and a body shot later, he was 18-1.

On the night, Begic looked respectable in round one but never had an answer for Sheeraz's reach and feet. The finishing left to the body 2:33 into round two was clean, the count was inevitable, and Begic took it with the kind of dignity you'd expect from a fighter who knew he'd been put in with a level he hadn't yet faced.
