Bio

Angel "Tashiro" Fierro is a Tijuana action fighter who's earned a cult following on the West Coast for his pressure-fighting style and total refusal to give a single inch. He's not the most technically refined operator at 140, but make no mistake — he's one of the toughest, and he's fought everyone his promoter has put in front of him without complaint.

The losses on his record are honest losses to good fighters. The wins are wins where he's broken his man down with workrate and body shots. The May 2026 controversial split-decision loss to Oscar Duarte at T-Mobile Arena was widely seen as a card-job — most ringside press had Fierro by a round or two, and the Vegas crowd booed the verdict. He fought like a man who knew his career was on the line, came in 3.4 pounds heavy on the scales (costing him $40,000), and still nearly walked out with the win.

At 29 he's a proper test for anyone in the top fifteen at super lightweight. The Duarte rematch — and there has to be one — is the obvious next move. If you know, you know — Fierro doesn't have a great career-arc story, but he has the kind of grit that makes promoters want him on every action card they put together.
