Bio

Brandon "The Cannon" Adams is the Los Angeles-born veteran who won The Contender season five and has been a perennial top-15 contender at 160 and 154 for the best part of a decade. He has shared a ring with Jermall Charlo and Demetrius Andrade, fought to twelve hard rounds on multiple occasions, and is one of those fighters who is always closer to a title shot than people remember.

Now 35, Adams is in the second act of his career at junior middleweight. He has rebuilt with a string of stoppage wins on PBC cards over the last two years and is the kind of opponent every promoter quietly hates to see drawn out of the IBF rankings.

He is not the marquee name on the May 27 IBF purse bid, but he is the dangerous one. Adams thrives in neutral venues, on lower expectation, and with quiet judges. Murtazaliev's camp will be doing their homework.
