Bio

Cheavon Clarke is a British cruiserweight who was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and he has built a reputation as a dangerous puncher. Twelve wins, nine of them by knockout, and two defeats tell you he is a fighter who either wins big or goes down swinging.

He came through the amateur ranks with a silver medal at the 2017 European Championships, a bronze at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and a bronze at the 2019 European Games. That is a serious pedigree and it shows in how he moves.

His most recent outing was in June at the Bournemouth International Centre, where he came back from two knockdowns in the fourth round to stop Jack Massey in the seventh. That kind of resilience is exactly why nobody should underestimate him.

Now he is in with former WBO champion Chris Billam-Smith on November 7 at the Copper Box in London, on Zuffa Boxing 12. The pair boxed twice as amateurs and Clarke won both, so he knows he can beat him. If you know, you know: this is a proper fight.
