Right then, Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete is one of the most awkward and most productive fighters of his generation. A four-weight world champion out of Mexico with a record of 40-2-1 and 33 knockouts, he has spent the last decade beating good men in fights that never once looked tidy on paper and never once stopped being entertaining.

Make no mistake, nobody is confusing him with a textbook. The punches come from strange angles, the guard is wherever it fancies being, and he drops his hands every time he winds up. What he has instead is length, a frame far too big for the weights he boxes at, and an engine that simply does not run out over twelve rounds.

Since February 2026 he has held unified junior lightweight honours, and on October 24 he meets O'Shaquie Foster in a unification that is one of the best fights available at 130lb. Foster is the better pure boxer. Navarrete is the harder man to look good against. That is the whole fight.
