Errol ‘The Truth’ Spence Jr is a former unified welterweight world champion and one of the finest body-punchers of his generation. At his peak the Texan southpaw held the IBF, WBC and WBA belts, breaking opponents down with relentless pressure and a savage attack to the ribs.

Spence’s aura took a dent when Terence Crawford stopped him in their 2023 undisputed showdown, and he has not fought since — a layoff of roughly three years by the time he returns. How much of the old Spence remains is the great question of his comeback.
