Lamont Roach Jr is the sort of fighter that neutrals discover during a world title fight and immediately wonder where he's been all this time. Roach became WBA super-featherweight champion by outboxing one of the division's best, showing in that fight exactly what he brings to the table — slick movement, accurate combinations, and the composure of a fighter who has been in serious fights and knows how to manage them. The move up to lightweight has looked natural. He's bulked up, his power has improved, and his chin has held up against some serious shots.

The big fight coming his way is the one everyone in lightweight boxing has been waiting for: June 20, 2026, against William Zepeda for the vacant WBC lightweight title.
