Bio

Liam "The Goat" Paro is a former IBF Super-Lightweight World Champion from Queensland, Australia. He captured the 140lb title in 2024 with a stunning performance against Subriel Matias in Puerto Rico — one of the best road wins by any Australian boxer this decade.

Paro is a tall, rangy southpaw with elite fundamentals. His jab is one of the best in the game, his straight left is clinical, and his engine means he's rarely out of a round. The only blemish on his 28-fight record is a loss to slick American Richardson Hitchins, in which Paro was undone by speed and timing rather than by class.

Now moved up to welterweight, Paro has been ordered as the IBF mandatory challenger to Belfast's Lewis Crocker. The purse-bid process sent the fight Down Under, giving Paro home advantage for what could be his second world title in two weight classes.
