Oscar Duarte
La Migrana
Bio
Oscar "La Migrana" Duarte is a Mexican action fighter from Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, who fights out of the back foot when he has to and the pocket when he wants to. His career took off in 2023 with the brilliant brawl against Ryan Garcia and a string of stoppage wins on Showtime, before a loss to Subriel Matias temporarily slowed his world title push.
Duarte is the kind of operator British fans warm to instantly — he's tough, he's honest, and he picks every fight he takes. Make no mistake, he's not a slick mover. He's a sit-down combination puncher who walks through fire and fires back. The Angel Fierro split decision in May 2026 was the latest of those — a controversial card-job win that should have been a draw or a Fierro win, but did his stock no harm because the fight itself was brilliant.
At 29 he's at a proper peak. The NABO and WBC Silver super lightweight straps he won on Cinco De Mayo weekend put him in the world rankings at 140 and one or two big results away from the title eliminator he's been chasing since the Garcia loss. He's a brilliant active fighter and one of the best Mexican prospects at the weight.
