Peter Kadiru
Bio
Peter Kadiru is a Hamburg heavyweight whose career has been one long lesson in patience. A brilliant junior amateur — Youth Olympic gold in 2014 sits on the mantelpiece — he turned professional with real expectations in Germany and held the national heavyweight title by his mid-twenties.
Then came the wall. In 2022 he was blasted out in 56 seconds, the kind of defeat that finishes plenty of careers. Kadiru's response tells you who he is: ten straight wins, rebuilt from the studs up, capped by a mature ten-round decision over a durable veteran in May 2026.
Make no mistake, his shot at Murat Gassiev's WBA title comes from the gods — a late replacement call after Tony Yoka's back injury, taken on four days' notice, unranked by all four sanctioning bodies. But proper fighters answer the phone, and Kadiru answered. Whatever happens in Moscow, he's announced himself on the world stage.
