Raymond Ford
Savage
Bio
Raymond "Savage" Ford is a former WBA featherweight world champion from Camden, New Jersey, a smooth southpaw with fast hands and the kind of finishing instinct you can't teach. Make no mistake — he's one of the most talented American fighters under 130lbs on the planet.
Ford announced himself on the world stage in March 2024 when he stopped Otabek Kholmatov late to win the WBA featherweight title in a fight he was losing on two of the three scorecards. That was classic Savage — he knows how to end fights when he has to. After a defeat to Nick Ball at featherweight, Ford moved up to 130 and has put together three straight wins in his new weight class, climbing to the WBC number two ranking and earning the mandatory shot at champion O'Shaquie Foster.
On May 30, 2026 Ford walks out at Houston's Fertitta Center challenging for the WBC super-featherweight title. A win makes him a two-weight world champion at 27 — and brilliant positioning for even bigger fights with Stevenson or unification routes. A loss, and he's rebuilding for another 18 months. Proper crossroads fight. If you know Ford, you know he doesn't do boring — he'll bring it.
