Bio

Raymond "Savage" Ford is one of the slickest southpaw boxers in the world today and the man with the unenviable challenge of taking the WBC super featherweight title from O'Shaquie Foster in Houston on May 30 2026. Eighteen wins, one loss, one draw, nine knockouts.

Ford is from Camden New Jersey and announced himself at world level when he won the vacant WBA featherweight title against Otabek Kholmatov in March 2024 — a come-from-behind last round stoppage that became fight of the year material. The Nick Ball loss in 2024 was a close decision that could have gone either way, and the rebuild since moving up to 130 has been clean and convincing. Three wins from three at the new weight, all against credible names.

Style wise he is a movement based southpaw who slips with his hips, counters with the straight left, and is much heavier handed than the knockout ratio suggests. Foster is the harder puzzle of his career so far. If he wins on May 30, he becomes a unification target across the division.
