Simon Zachenhuber is a German southpaw who has built a 29-1 record through steady, durable performances at super middleweight, climbing to the No. 7 spot in the WBO's rankings on the strength of eighteen knockouts and a genuine willingness to fight anyone put in front of him.

The awkward angles that come with his stance have caused problems for a string of domestic and European-level opponents, and Zachenhuber's chin has rarely been seriously tested across his career — durability is the foundation everything else is built on.

His sole defeat came just three months ago, a six-round decision loss to Pawel August, a result that raised eyebrows among fans given the timing of his subsequent title opportunity. Zachenhuber will need to answer that result directly on the biggest night of his career.
