Vito Mielnicki Jr
The Belleville Kid
Bio
Vito Mielnicki Jr is a middleweight out of Belleville, New Jersey, and one of the most heavily supported young fighters on the American East Coast. Turned professional as a teenager, he built his early record in front of home crowds at the Prudential Center in Newark and has grown from a welterweight prospect into a proper 160-pounder with a sharp jab and a heavy right hand.
The one loss on his record came on the way up, and it did him good — the version of Mielnicki who has emerged since is patient, disciplined and far more willing to box behind the jab rather than trade. He picked up the WBA Continental Americas and WBO Global middleweight titles along the way and has kept both.
On September 4, 2026 he delivered the biggest win of his career, dropping former world title challenger Austin 'Ammo' Williams in the first round and sweeping the cards 98-91 on the Ruiz vs Knyba undercard in Newark. It was a performance that announced him as a genuine top-ten middleweight.
Still only 24, Mielnicki is on course for an eliminator and a world title shot within the next twelve months. Luke rates him as one of the freshest names in a division that badly needs one.
