Right then, Ckari Cani Mansilla is the kind of fighter British boxing does not talk about enough — the travelling Argentine who turns up, does not fold, and makes somebody earn their night's pay.

Born in Cordoba in July 1992, Mansilla turned professional in May 2016 with a third-round knockout and built a record on the South American circuit that reads 19-5 with thirteen stoppages. That is a proper knockout ratio for a man at featherweight, and it tells you that when he gets his feet set he can genuinely crack.

The trouble is getting his feet set. Mansilla is a come-forward pressure fighter without the footspeed to cut off a ring against a real technician, and that is exactly the problem he ran into at Co-op Live in Manchester in September 2026, where Shabaz Masoud beat him 100-90 across all three cards for the WBA International and IBF Intercontinental featherweight titles.

But here is the thing, and it matters — he went ten rounds. He never stopped trying, he was never remotely stopped, and he did not spoil. Plenty of imported opponents at that level make it ugly to survive. Mansilla went to the last bell trying to win it, which is a compliment I do not hand out lightly.

He remains a ranked Argentine featherweight and a solid, honest operator at European and international level. He is not going to be a world champion. He is going to keep making good fighters look like they are in a fight, and there is a living in that.
