Nikita Tszyu is the youngest son of Hall-of-Famer Kostya Tszyu and the younger brother of former world champion Tim Tszyu — and make no mistake, he is nobody’s little brother in the ring. A southpaw with genuine spite in his shots, the Australian walked away from architecture to fight, and it turned out to be a brilliant career move.

They call him The Butcher for a reason. Tszyu hunts the body, cuts the ring off like a man possessed, and finishes what he starts — nine of his wins have come inside the distance. The style is all pressure and menace, closer to a street argument than a chess match, and Australian crowds have fallen in love with it.

In August 2026 he went twelve rounds with fellow unbeaten Australian Ben Mahoney in an IBF super welterweight title eliminator on the Gold Coast and came away with a split draw — a result even Nikita himself admitted probably belonged to his opponent. The rematch, and the world title shot behind it, are the story of his career right now.
