Paddy 'The Real Deal' Donovan is a Limerick welterweight, trained by Andy Lee out of the family gym, and one of the most natural Irish boxing talents of his generation. 14-2 with 11 knockouts, with both defeats razor-thin and contested. Quick hands, sharp feet, and a right hand that has finished proper opponents.

Make no mistake — the two losses on the record do not tell the truth about the boxer. Donovan has been beaten by the wrong opponent on the wrong night, not outclassed. The post-Andy-Lee tightening of the camp has produced a sharper, more disciplined fighter, and the win column has been ticking back up at proper pace.
