Dylan Arbuckle
The Architect
Bio
Dylan Arbuckle walked into the OVO Hydro an unbeaten prospect and walked out with the vacant British super-bantamweight title after a competitive scrap with Nico Leivars. That is a proper statement from a fighter who has been quietly building one of the more interesting records in the domestic small-weight divisions.
Arbuckle is not a huge puncher — four stoppages in eleven wins — but what he is, is a technician with a high boxing IQ and a willingness to work rounds the hard way. He was marked up after the Leivars fight and so was his opponent, which is the sign of a proper domestic title fight where two skilled lads refused to take the easy option.
The British super-bantamweight division is quietly one of the most interesting scenes in UK boxing right now, and Arbuckle is now the man to beat. Expect a defense against a top-10 ranked domestic name within six months, and do not rule out a European shot inside the year if he can follow this up with a strong defence. Class fighter.
