Lewis Edmondson
The Home Champion
Bio
Lewis Edmondson is a Southampton light-heavyweight who does the unglamorous things brilliantly. At 11-1 with three stoppages, he's not a big banger, but he's clever, awkward and finds a way to win the rounds that matter. Born in November 1995, he's matured into a genuine domestic force at 175lbs.
He announced himself properly in October 2024 when he edged Dan Azeez over twelve rounds to win the vacant British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight titles at London's Copper Box Arena. He backed it up with a defence against Oluwatosin Kejawa in March 2025. That British grit and willingness to fight anyone put in front of him is exactly what fans want to see from a champion.
On June 20, 2026 he faces the most accomplished name of his career so far — former European champion Lyndon Arthur — in the co-main event at St Mary's Stadium in his home city. It's a real step up in class, but on home soil with the crowd behind him, Edmondson has the perfect stage to prove he's levels above where the doubters have him.
